My dearest parishioners,
Finally! The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of churches in California returning to inside worship. The bishop sent out a memo permitting us to begin indoor worship effective Tuesday, Feb 9th. So all Masses are now inside the Church.
My plan is not to return to our prior time schedule for Masses until after Easter, but we will adding back the 4:30 PM Saturday Vigil Mass starting February 27. The schedule for daily Mass is being modified for February and March, so check the website Calendar for each day.
Confessions at Our Lady of Lourdes will resume every Saturday in March, and also in March confessions will return to the third Saturday of the month at St. Joseph's in Boron.
Hopefully, this will be our last experience with being exiled from our churches. We will of course continue to follow the protocols we were following before we had to go outside: face masks, social distancing, 25% of capacity, sanitizing between the OLL Sunday English and Spanish Mass, entering in the front door and leaving by the side door, and so on. However, we are still retrained from singing at present.
We can rejoice and thank the Lord. God bless all of you! See you at church,
Fr. Kris
Mis más queridos feligreses,
¡Finalmente!
P. Kris

We cannot leave them in the pews, nor hand them around at Mass, and you cannot bring them back during this epidemic. So take one home to use at home (or leave in your car) and bring to Mass with you to use at Mass.
The Food Bank remains OPEN - Wednesdays 8:30 AM to Noon. Face masks are required and the clients remain outside and are serviced through the window. Thanks to all the parishioners who have donated food, and to the dedicated staff who continue to serve the community each week!
